H4 to H1 visa stamping in Mexico/Canada

I was on H4 for a year, got H1 6 months back and i am working on H1 since then. and also I have B.tech from india, no MS from usa

ttsvisas appt at chennai is givng me dates in august, I need to visit hyderabad/india in may.

I am thinking of getting stamped in canada or mexico, so i can travel to india without having to wait for chennai appt..

could you please let me know the following:

1) do they accept H4 to H1 stamping at canada/mexico
2) how risky/safe is it going to canada/mexico instead of going to chennai.

I will be very greatful if you guys can share your experiences..

Please check for appointments in Matamoros Mexico they don’t have to many appointments schedule and the visa you usually the same day.
