h4 to h1 transfer

I am currently in the united states on h4. i got my h1 approval recently.
I need to know , if i can start working immediately or if I first need to get the h1 stamped on the passport, even though i donot intend to travle outside the united states...pls reply...
 
You can

As long as you have the I94 card attached to your H1 approval notice you dont have to go out of the country and get it stamped. You can start working right away with your approval notice and I94 card.
 
yes, my last entry was on h1 visa..i havent left usa since ,though in between i was on h4.yes, my last entry was on h1
 
does it depend on whether my last entry was on h1 or h4....
In any case my last entry was on h1...pls reply
