Hi

I came to US in 2001. I have 5 years experience in India in Software companies before I came to the US.
From 2001, I have been on H4. I have updated myself with current technologies and taken certifications.
But, Since I have not been working from 2001, would it be difficult to get a H1 based on the decoupling of time spent on H4 ?

Thanks in advance

Per New USCIS clause published in Dec 2006
Your H4 time spend in the US will not be counted now. So you will get 6 yrs of H1 now with no problem.
