H4 to H1 to H4 to H1

Earlier, I was on H4 visa. Now I am working with company A for the past
10 months on H1 visa. My Labor is approved and company A is planning to
file my I-140 around April 10th 2007.After 2 months, I am planning to
take a break and go to H4 visa.

Green card question:

1.Can company A still continue my green card process?

H1 questions:

2.After 1 year(2008), if I want to go back to H1 from H4,do I need to
wait for that year's quota or with my first H1 approval I can start
working any time in 2008 or 2009?
3.What is the procedure and/or forms to notify USCIS on my status
change during - H1 to H4 and then H4 to H1? Do I need to go out of USA
& come back during H1 to H4 to H1 process?

1. Technically yes if employer has intent to hire you after GC and you have intent to join them after GC.
2. Not subject to quota.
