My wife(on H4) and I(on H1) came to back to US in last Dec after getting married in Nov. In March 2006, I applied for my 7th year extension along with her H4 extension and got my approval in 13 days. I took a visa appointment at Toronto consulate for 1st week in Sep to get our visa stamped. In the meantime, a company applied for my wife's H1 which got approved yesterday. She can start working on that H1 begining Oct. Now I am confused.
Should I go ahead with my apointment and get mine(H1) and hers(H4) visa stamped at Toronto? Technically speaking her H1 is not in effect until begining of Oct, right? Can they question her status, saying that she already has an approved H1 visa?
Please help.
