H4 to H1 Change of status...Need to travel to India

Hi,
I am currently in US on H4 visa(H4 expires in 2008). I am going to apply for H1B this April. My questions is if my H1 gets approved in May, Will I be able to travel to India in June and return in August without getting H1 stamping?

My India visit is very important. How can I travel to India but I also do not want my H1 to be abandoned.

Please help me out by providing information.

Once H1 is approved before you leave as COS, you must return with h1 stamped in your pp to get I 94 at POE with caveat H1, otherwise you will be issued I94 with H4 caveat and your status will be considered as H4 not H1..

hi my frnd is in india and applying for h1 in this april and also she is getting married in this may.her husband is on f1 visa and she will be comming on f1 dependent visa immediately after marriage in may.can she come like that?does her h1 visa application still valid or will there be any complication?in which forum this type of issues will be handled better and if anyone knows answer for this please let me know as she needs help in this matter.thanks
