Hi All,
I am in H4 since December 1999. Recently I graduated (MS) from a US university and looking for a job. I got a job offer from an employer. Employer's lawyer think it may be possible. But I have to pay the total coast of H1-B. As I am only having 4 months in my H4 period, is it possible to do a H1-B? My six year period in H4 is competing in December 2005? Is any chance to do a H1-B?

If this option is not possible, is it possible to work as an intern or volunteer to get some experience? I really appreciate your reply.
Thank you

This was the blunder people usally committing not changing to F1, i posted several time in this forum, how important to change to F1 while you are in H4.

You can get approval of H1 for 4 months in the worst case, even if INS approve by mistake 3 years you should not work at all.

However new H1 application form clearly asking last 6 years of your visa status, such questions were never asked in the old application form.

Is your spouse LC is pending to get your H4 extension beyond 6 years.?
