H4 to F1

Hello,

Planning to convert from H4 to F1. My husbands Labor is in the backlog reduction centre with PD Dec2002. We need to apply for 7th year H1 & H4 extension before october 22nd 2005. Is it advisable to go to Canada for F1 stamping? Any help is appreciated.

Do you have a valid unexpired H-4 stamp on your passport? If yes, then it helps you because while they may deny F-1 visa in Canada, they will probably not cancel your H-4 when denying the F-1. Hence, if you had a H-4 stamp, there's some chance of being able to enter US again even if the F-1 gets denied.
