H4 to F1 Need help

Experts , Need help. Please respond if you can help me in any way.

I am currently in the USA in H4 status. I am planning to go for graduate studies and wish to apply for COS to F1. I desperately need information on the following.

1. If go to India (home country) after COS, will getting an F1 stamp based on approved INS notice be as difficult as getting a fresh F1 stamp? If an F1 is refused at that time , can I still get a H4 to come back ?

2. My husband\'s GC process is starting just now. Since the Labor cert takes approx 1.5 years ( the time I plan to be in school ), will the COS to F1 cause trouble in future for the GC ?

After COS for all practical purpose your status will be F1, so better visit India before change of status.

As long as your husband and you maintain status as H1 and F1 respectively up until you apply for GC there should be no problems.
