H4 status confusion

If some is in H1 and brought his wife in H4 after marriage from India, please state if the following is true
1.if the H1 holder switches jobs, the dependant H4 is still considered to be in status till the H4's I-94 expires
2.if the H1 holder and the dependant travel to canada and get stamped based on the new I-797 and return to US then they are considered to be in status assuming this is done before both the H1 and H4 I-94 dates expire

Thanks Ginnu. I recently read an article from a leading attorney's website which caused all this concern. It talks about issues faced by people who failed to extend their dependants H4 status. I might have read it too deep and gotten confused

H4 is tied to H1 holders H1 status not to employer A or B
if H1 holder transfer H1 with B it not must that H4 should also file H4 transfer if H4 holder has valid I-94 for enough time then no need to file H4 with with H1 transfer. but many times H1 holder transfer his H1 and dont care about H4 status and forgets to file H4 extension on time or beore H4 holders I-94 expiry date. one files his H1 transfer and H4 so that both get same date of I-94 expiry dates and both I-94 expires same date and they remember to file extensions on time
