I would appreciate a lot any help in this matter.
My wife is in India for a 4 weeks vacation and she is applying for her H4 stamping at Channai. My H1B stamping in the passport expired more than an year ago. But I have all other required documents which are valid and current (like I-797, latest Pay stubs, letter from the employer etc). My H1 stamping in the passport expired only because I did not revalidate it when I changed employers.
Do I need to have an unexpired H1B stamping in my passport in order for my wife to get an H4 stamping?
