H4 Stamping in Delhi.

My Wife is going for her h4 stamping in Delhi. Is it important for her to carry my pay stubs and w2s. Do they make a fuss about it or they don't worry about it?
 
Send your all the passport pages, copy of your Valid I-94 both sides, your employer letter that you are employed by them, your recent pay stubs, copy of W-2 and your H1b approval notice if possible send copy of your I-129 (including LCA) petition certified by your Company lawyer And marriage certificate. These days they can ask for any document. she should fill up NEW DS-156 form and new style photo to be provided

I think she should carry pay stubs and the W-2s because I was asked for them when I went for my H-4 stamping in Delhi.Also ask her to take her education certificates.

Why do you THINK that she should take her educational documents? She is not applying for H1B, she is going to get derivative H4 visa as spouse of H1b worker. No need of her educational certificates, she can be illiterate and can get H4.
 
I agree with the above argument. Even an illiterate should be able to get an H4 visa.

Are there any education qualifications which throw a red flag when applying for H4 visa.
 
Hi,

The reason I said that is, because not that they ask for educational certificates on a mandatory basis and obviously H4 has got nothing to do with (and even an illiterate can get an H4 as you say) but when I went for my visa ,last september they did ask me and 2 girls before me to show them the educational certificates.

So I thought I would post that here.

Its better to be safe than sorry thats all :-).
 
Yes they asked for educ certificates from my wife too. Last thing that you can expect from these people is logic.
