H4 spouse not applied for 485 - what if I shift to EAD

I have applied for my 485 and am hoping to receive EAD anytime now
My wife has gotten her H4 but has not entered US as yet
Will there be any problem if I shift to EAD and she is in US without having applied for a
485 (or gotten a receipt from INS)

Yes problem. When you go to EAD, H1 and underlying H4 are no longer valid.

Yes, Do not use EAD until you wife is in the country, applied for 485 and have a receipt number.
