H4 renewal with EAD

My wife and I recently recieved our EAD's. As my H1B is expiring soon, my company/lawyer are renewing my H1B. They say it is a safety net just in case my 485 gets denied. That is good as in any case I did not plan to use my EAD. I am not sure about my wifes H4 renwal though. She will start working soon and would be using her EAD. What would happen to her H4 then? Is there any benifit in renewing her H4 visa?

H1 extn is better as a safety net . As for your wife : If she wants to work , she needs the EAD or she needs her own H1 , so her H4 status is no longer valid ( thats my understanding

Either you are on H1/H4 status or EAD . You cant be both.

Help is H1/H4 and EAD confusion....needed

I am on H1 and my wife has approved ead but not using it. Can I keep my status as H1 and her as parolee(as her last entry was on ad. parole). and she is renewing her ead but I stop applying for eads as My H1 is valid for another 2 years.

Is this going to imapct I-485 processing as I stop apllying for ead.
ot shall I continue applying for ead.
