JAXEN! pls help!H4 received in US..now stamping at mumbai consulate

Friends and jaxen,

I originally came on F2 ->H1B->H4. I have the f2 stamping on my pp.
I got my H1 & H4 (COS) here in USA.

Husband doesnt have H1B stamping on his passport.

1. Is its okay that i go for my H4 stamping without his done first?
AS i read that consulates prefer H1b stamping on the principal applicant's passport?
2. or the fact that i have been issued H4 here will help me in getting mulitple easily?
3. What problems should i anticipate?

Thanks for your help!!!

Although i said in another thread that you should be fine (to your abridged Question), I would like to point out a risk factor.
Since you came from h1 to h4, the mumbai consulate consular person can ask the question
1. what will prevent you to go back to US and then file h1 once again? If you have that intention then you better file h1 from here and then go to US.

U need to be prepared for this. If you are asked to come for an interview, be prepared to cover all possibilities. Hope you get your stamp thru drop box without any problem.

One more thing, please review the documentation requirements thoroughly. Good Luck.

thx jaxen

thx for ur help!

i'll review the documentation requirement.
i'll be taking the following:

1. my H4 797
2. husband's h1 797
3. employment letter from his company
4. bank statemt and 3 paystubs of his
5.marriage certificate and photos.

am i missing anything?
