H4 question, Is it legal?

I am here in USA ON H4 visa. recently i have got a job from one of the Indian company to work for them as there representative here in
USA.

They would however pay me from India.

I wanted to know whether it is legal to work on H4 visa for this job and get
paid from India.

Can H4/L2 dependent work without getting paid

Hi

Are H4/L2 barred from doing any job or barred only from doing paid jobs.

My wife is working on an H1B visa.

Can she convert to L2 and continue working with the same company without getting paid.

I need to do this to get and L2 EAD for her.
