H4 pls help

hi i am on h4 visa, have a 3 yr old child on h4 too. my visa is valid till july 2006, im having major marital problems, want to know if i can go out take some help from my friends so that i can get my own visa status ie h1 or f1, because my husband doesnt help me financially. can he by any means ie by informing INS or any other way get my present h4 revoked without any legal proceedings of divorce happening..pls advice thanks

---------- if possible try to find lawyer and talk to him regarding not helping you or the baby when you are his spouse. I think you can get free help from local immigration group in your area

------------- I am sorry to know your situation. I dont think he can revoke your H4 status and can do only after divorce. if you are qualified for H1 and has any employer who can file H4 to H1 change of status then you can get H1(remeber the employer need to pay your once you are on H1, many change from H4 to H1 and dont find job or get salary)
