H4 - Need Information urgent

Hi,

I have a valid H1b, and I am going to India adn want to get my wife with me on H4. I have collected all documents based on the consulate website and this forum. But I found some posts which say one needs to certify or attest copy of the LCA, I-129 from the lawyer. I am not sure about this can someone please clarify.

Usually they need a lawyer certified

LCA and I-129 application copy for H1 visa applications. If they are asking it for H4 visa applications as well..contact your company's HR or lawyer..theymust have it on file.
 
When your Employer or Lawyer filed for your H1 they submitted I-129 and LCA to INS, ask the HR of your employer for complete copy and get it certified by your Lawyer who filed it to INS/BCIS. Lawyer will be having Copy with him/her get it
