H4-H1, Which is the best way for change of status- Pls help!!

My wife has an unexpired H4 visa till May 2005 with I94 and she is wanting to convert her status to H4 from H1. she is planning to go to India and come back on H4

-Does she have to go to India as soon as she stops working for her employer or she can go anytime before her H4 visa expires

-I am assuming that she will not require paystubs from her current job to reenter on H4(just my paystubs and the H1 approval notice should be fine right)

-If she finds another job on H1 and her H1 is denied then can she go to India and come back on H4 status still?

Pls answer the above question. I will greatly appreciate your answer and would be anxiously waiting for the same
 
If she got her H1 approval with change of status then if she goes to India she has to come back with H1 stamping.

If she got the H1 and she does not have job then she has to change her status back to h4..

You did not clearly mention whether she got h1 approval or whether she is working?
