H4-H1 Microbiologist/Bio-Technologist

Dear Friends,

Please post reply if you know the answer/suggestion. You replu would be greatly appreciated. Here is our question...

My wife is currently on H4 visa and she has masters in Microbiology, India. Currently she is signed up for certificate course in Bio-Technology research & Technecian over here in USA. As part of this certficate course, one of the mandatory course is Bio-Technology internship. Based on her professor recomondation she got internship at one of the research centers. They would love to pay for her, but unfortunately they can't pay, because she doesn't have work visa/green card. My question is what kind of work visa she is eligible to apply, H1B1 or is there anoy other kind of work visa for Microbiology/Bio_technology graduates?

You all know about green card processing these days. We thought we get green card couple of years beofore, unfortunately our dreams did not come true... Waiting Waiting Waiting Waiting Waiting Waiting Waiting Waiting

Research center is not willing to provide sponsorship, but they can provide employment if she has employment visa. Any more details would be appriceated. Thanks

so, your Research center will not entertain H1 visa sponsership.

Unfortunate state is, since you are non immigrant, you should get a sponser for H1 and get employment from the same sponser.

But if you are sure to get employment , you can contact ADECCO in your area (their offices are available throughout USA), they may sponser you for H1 and put you as consultant (Body shop) to your research firm if their payments are good enough to cover their overheads and profit.
