Hi,

I have a quick question:

Iam on H4-B and my husband's green card is in I-140 stage, EB3 category with PD of 07/2002.
Iam doing my M.S from New Jersey. We live in NJ.

I will be completing my masters program in May/2007. I have a B.S in Computer science too.

Iam thinking of starting my H1-B process now since who knows how the H1-B quota will look like in May/2007. Iam in my 4th year of H (H4 to be specific) status. I know H1-B and H4-B timeframes work in conjunction.

My questions are:
1) If I go to my own H1-B, what will happen to the green card process that is tied to my husband ?
2) is it a good idea for me to process H1-B and do not wait for my green card (or atleast EAD) ?
3) what are unforseen problems that i may expect ?

Thanks,
your sincerely.

2) is it a good idea for me to process H1-B and do not wait for my green card (or atleast EAD) ? Yes. But file a LC too, to safeguard your H1 beyond 6 yrs incase3) what are unforseen problems that i may expect ? read ans to q2
