H4 to F1 visa
I am currently in the US on H4 visa with my husband who is working on H1. We have a 1 yr old child who was born here in the US and so holds US citizenship.
I have applied to US universities as I am planning to pursue further studies here.My husband is sponsoring my education.
My I94 is expiring this September 2006.
I am actually seeking an F1(for assistanceships / working for funding my education).
How do I get to F1 status from H4-that is for doing so what is the step by step procedure and documents needed.
Will I have to go through the same Questionaire session at the consolate as those students applying for fresh F1 do? How should I prepare for this?
How much time will it take eventually to get the F1 visa.
