I am sorry to start one more thread- but i just didnt know where to post this question:
My wife came to US on a H-4 visa in Feb 2000 (visa validity was from Feb 2000 – Feb 2003). In February of 2001, she got an F-1 status while studying for a Masters program. She had a valid F-1 status from February 2001 to April 2003 (including the 1 year practical training period). In April 2003 before the F-1 status ended, she applied and received an H-4 status from INS which is valid till October 2004. Can she apply for the visa revalidation at St. Louis ?
PS: If readers didnt follow the issue is - can she treat the original H4 visa as if it expired in Feb 2003 - or do you have to treat it as something that expired when she had the status change, which will put her beyond the 1 year limit for applying at St Lous.
Thanks
