H4 extension Urgent

My husband and me have applied for our H1 and H4 extensions,our I 94 will expire on Oct 17th 2007.I just wanted to know one thing if my husband's H1extension is approved before Oct 17th and my H4 is pending after that I 94 expiry date Oct 2007,should I leave US before the expiry of my I 94 or can I stay in US till my H4 gets approved? Plse help me this is very urgent.

---you can stay if your H4 extension is pending, if lawyer filed H1 extension and your H4 extension in same envelope then both H1 and H4 will get approved same day.
Plse help me this is very urgent.
