H4-B1 Transfer

Hi,

I have a strange situation here. My wife got her H4 visa stamped in US-Consulate Mumbai in Dec last year. Now her company is ready to move her to USA on B1 visa.

My Questions

1. Can a person have 2 visa stamps on the passport like H4 and B1.
2. If she applys for B1 and say if its rejected, would her H4 be also rejected/cancelled.

1) I think most likely old visa in passport will be cancelled at the consulate.
2) H4 is valid.

You have to remember that employment in the US is not allowed under B1.
