H4/AP and Travel Issues

My Wife was working with Company A which did not asked for any information about her EAd etc. apart her SSN# now she is in India and coming back this weekend.

My question(s) are.

What should be the preferred way (i) using AP (ii) using the H4 (which has an expiration date of Oct 05)

I believe she is not authorized to work on H-4 Visa. She should have provided them with EAD (or they should have asked for work authorization which is EAD).
The preferred way is to use H4 while returning as it is valid till Oct 05.
 
But they have her SSN#

Thanks for the reply, But they have her new SSN# which was obtained using her EAD card. Will this create any problem if she uses her H4.

I would recommened using AP as her H4 is already voided once she started working using her EAD/SSN. Not showing AP could create issue at POE so better use AP.
