H1visa transfer problems????

Hi, All my friends,

My one-year H1 visa (J1 transfer to H1, H1 research contract is also one year) will be expired on July 31, 2003. And now I got a few offers from different institutes. I want to know whether I can start working for the new boss once I get receipt of visa transfer/renewal/extension before expiration? Or I have to wait for new H1 visa approval? because my present H1 visa will be expired in July?

You can start working for new employer immediately after getting receipt of H1 filing. There is no need to wait until approval.
 
h1 transfer - how long to wait?

I have a similar question - my h1 visa expires next month and I have an offer from a new employer. This employer has agreed to start my H1 transfer process. I am not sure how long I should wait before resigning from my current employer?
 
You can start working for the new company once you get H1b filing receipt, u dont have to wait for the approval
