Please help. I'm a canadian citizen My Employer requested an extension of my Visa back in Oct last year , we received an RFE 1 and 1/2 month later and we sent a reply towards the end of Feb this year. In the meantime I went back to canada for my brother's wedding and on my way back i requested an extension at the border and fortunately i got it . My question is . How come my original case (file within US) is still showing as pending? Will that have any impact on my new status? I have had a very bad lawyer in this case and have a feeling that he just does not want to withdraw the pending case(for financial reasons(?)
