I had studied here on f1 and got my h1b approval in 2003. Since i didn't leave the country, i haven't stamped h1 on to my passport. I am planning to go to canada for stamping in 2 weeks time. I do have all the documents and all set for the same
I heard from one of my senior executive that my company is facing some issues with the IRS and they have frozen all the company accounts and they are also planning to close down the division i am working in and filed necessary papers. Since i have to go to my home country, i cannot find another company to transfer my h1 and wait for a long time, i would rather get an h1 stamped go and comeback and hunt a job here.
Will it cause any issue, if i go for stamping now? Is there any risk involved in going for h1b stamping at this time? What would you suggest? I have to leave the country and I would really appreciate your views on this case
