H1B w/ a bankrupt company

Help!!

I just found out that my company is going to file for bankruptcy this Tuesday. I am planning to switch to another company but had these questions:
1. Can I still transfer my H1, cause my prev company may cease to exist.
( I do have a pay stub from last week)
2. If not, would I be stuck w/ the H1 quota. ( I am in the 3rd month of my 3 yr extenstion for my H1 and have a MS from a school in the US)
3. If yes, how much time do I have?
3. and finally, how long can I legally stay in the US?

Do it immediately. If you wait 2-3 month you may have problem.
2. If not, would I be stuck w/ the H1 quota. ( I am in the 3rd month of my 3 yr extenstion for my H1 and have a MS from a school in the US) You will not come under any quota3. If yes, how much time do I have?
3. and finally, how long can I legally stay in the US?
All depends, how you are going to keep your status valid by transfering h1 or switching H4 if you are eligible or going School with F1.
