H1B visiting other coutries..

Pls calrify me .. I have the following issue..
I came to USA in 2000 through company A. And my Visa/H1 for company A last until Sep, 2003. Later I shifted to company B. And now I am with company C whose H1 approval is pending. Now, I wish to make a trip to UK and come back. I do not know if H1 approvals for A and B have been cancelled or not. And my current H1 approval (of company C) is pending but I have the receipt number and all the latest pay stubs.
Now the question is can I leave the country, visit UK and come back by Aug 1st week with company A's visa (that lasts until sep'2003) , company A's H1 approval (dunno if its cancelled) and company C's pay stubs/receipt number?/
Hope this is clear and earliest response will be highly appreciated..

Your H1B visa on your passport probably has an annotation with the company A. Since you don't work for the company A anymore, at the port of entry (if you travel outside of the US) you may be asked to present additional documents to your petition and visa. If I were you then I would wait with any trips outside the US until the pending application is approved.
