H1B VISA Stamping

Could anyone please let me know how long it is taking to get the VISA stamped. I sent my papers on 24th of Feb. Recv date at ST Loius office is 25th Feb.

Now my situation is that I need to go to India and I have already booked the ticket for 8th of May.

Is it okay to get the VISA stamped in India if I dont get it before 8th of May.

Yes. You can get it stamped in India. If you dont receive anything by May 4th send a request to withdraw revalidation, citing travel on May8th.

Please update your status and if withdrawing how long it took and what procedure followed for withdrawal. I am also in same fix. I have to travel to India on May 10. My St.Louis date is Feb 10 and DC date is Feb 24.

If we fax wedding letter with withdrawal fax will they consider our application for stamping before sending back if our dates are almost reached?
