Hi all,
I am planning to go for stamping my H1B visa to Canada in February. But it seems that there are no dates available.
I have following questions:

1) When I call US consualte in Canada they say that keep on checking nvars.com site and you may find some date for scheduling in Canada. How far is this probable so that I will get date in February?

2) If I don't get any dates for Canada is it advisable to go to Mexico ?

3) I am currently in Beaverton, Oregon , if I am plan to go to Mexico which consulate should I go considering distance and less risk for my H1B to get stamped ?

4) Do I need a permit to enetr Mexico if I want to go for stamping ?

5) If yes where do I need to get Meico enter permit ?

6) If my Visa gets rejected in Mexico, can I come back to US or I have to fly to India from Mexico itself ?

Please provide me any other information realted to Mexico stamping...

Thanks...

Yes you won't be able to enter in USA, they will issue 221g to ask more or name check....or if you won't have right reason why you came here for stamping then even though you have right papers, still they can ask to go back to your country and do it.www.sre.gob.mx/losangeles

H1B stamping in Mexico

I would like to know in more details which consulate should I consider going if I am at Beaverton, Oregon ? Which one is nearer and safer ? Do I need to book the appointment online as we do in Canada case or do I need to call them ?
Please guide me...

more info

http://www.visa-usa.com.mx/ this is the web site like nvars.com to book an appointment, you need to register your self and will ask credit card details, to book an appointment they will charge you $10 and will give you a 3 chances, so once you book an appointment you can cancel twice and book them again, by any chance if you miss all 3 chances then you need pay another $10 to get more 3 chances.

If you recieved I-797 then say yes if NOT then also say yes otherwise it won't allow you see any available appointment dates.

FYI...I am in Los Ageles and I will going to Tijuana, Mexico in first week of March'2006 with my entire family..and this is my 7th year extenstion.

As far as which crossing border near by Oregon I do NOT know, if I get more info I will inform you.

Thanks
Raj
