Hi folks, this is my maiden post.
I had sent in my passport and VISA for revalidation to Texas before July 15th. Today, my attorney told me that all my papers were returned back to me with a letter saying "Cannot process your application because the photos attached were more than 6 months old".
That's the dumbest excuse I've heard; first off, they have no way of telling how old the photos are. Nonetheless, I want to know what my options are:
* Can I send the application back with a new set of photos using the same application #?
* If not, is going back to India (my home country) my only option? What are the chances of things getting rejected there as well?
* How safe is it to go to Canada to get the revalidation done?
I'm on my second term of H1B (fourth year) and my H1B approval letter is good. I've never been "on the bench", though I left my job with my current company for a month to pursue another job and then returned back to my current job with a brand new H1B. Also, my GC process is in the Federal Labor section.
Thanks in advance.
