H1b Visa on bench----urgent

Hi,

I am currently on H1b visa valid till Aug 2006 but for last 14 days I am on bench without any salary but company hasn't fired or terminated me. Presently I am looking for a company who can transfer my H1 and file a H1b transfer petition. My question is how long one can stay on H1b visa on bench without any salary meantime one find a H1 trasnfer? Could there be any legal problems for me sitting on bench without any salary?

------------ Your employer is violating H1B law he has to pay you the salary as written on LCA, no BENCH or Table is allowed

----- yes for you and more problem for your employer if he does not pay you, employer can be investigated, can be fined by DOL and can be debared filing future H1 for any becasue he is not paying what he wrote on LCA that he got to file your H1B , he needs to pay.
*** if you are trying to file H1 transfer through new employer you will need 2-3 recent pay stubs from your employer
