H1B Visa for an IT company in US and Free work for India-Based Company

Hi,

I am H1B Visa Holder and i work for an IT company in U.S.

One of my friends in India holds an Educational Consultancy and he is asking me to do Free work for his company by contacting US universities on his company behalf. Can i help him by working freely for him(UnPaid Work)contacting Universities in US ?(My H1B Company has no relation with my friend's Indian Company)


Another of my Friend holds Data Processing Company in India and that company is interested in getting OutSourced work from US companies.Can i work freely(UnPaid work) for him by contacting american companies here on behalf of my friends India-based company?(Also my H1B Company has no relation with my Friends Indian Company)

Also, I wud like to let you know that I got my H1B visa stamped in on 1st March,2005 but Im project less here,I've recently got in touch with a few companies more.....can yu pleae let me know if my visa can be transferred to any of these new companies....

You are entering into sales man job while having H1 for programmer job. I hope.

Soliciting sales with or with out pay is not legal.

You can change your sponser. Since you are not having pay check from March 1, 2005, you may face problem in transfereing your H1.

However earlier is better.
