I recently went to Canada and applied for H1B Visa stamp. The counselate in Toronto told me I had to wait a while as I had to get my background checked (probably coz I work in Technologically Sensitive area.). I got my H1B after 2 months wait and it was valid for 3 months only (says MANTIS clearance obtained).
I now want to visit Asia after 2 months and am worried, since I have to reapply for the VISA again and will be subjected to similar check which might take 2 to 6 months. I cannot have the background check initiated when I am in US, to expedite the process.
Anybody has any suggestion. My work doesn't allow me to be absent for more than 3 weeks. What should I do? Once I leave the country, I have to apply H1B Visa to get in and that requires another background check. How to expedite the process?
