H1B Validity

Hi,

My friend got her H1b approved last september 2005. Unfortunately, she couldnt work till now. Now,

(1) Is her H1b still valid?
(2) Is there any expiration period if she didnt go for any job?

Her husband is going to apply for his extension - Now if her h1b is valid, then she neednot get her extension for h4, else he will need to add her to his extension papers to get her h4 extended too right?

1) H1 is valid.
2) No expiration period, however, she might be already in trouble.
Check if she had received I-94 when her H1 got approved. If she received I-94 as well as H1 approval, she had to work for sponsor. If she was in this situation, I'd strongly suggest to talk to good lawyer.
