Hello there,

Just asking: Is there any trouble if one spend more than 6 months abroad while on h1b? Suppose he is stuck in visa stamping/revalidation at India, and he gets his visa after 6 months, would he face any issues at Port of Entry when he comes back, would it affect his H1b status or his tax filing?

Once a person returns with the H-1B stamped, I think, there won't be any issues. About the remaining questions, please note that the H-1B salary need to be paid only when the employee is in the U.S.
