H1B travel Requirements

Hello,

This is my first H1 after being a student here. I am planing to go back to my country, is there a list of things (documents) I need to have on me before I go back to India. My H1 was approved here but I do not have any stamp on it yet.

If some one can please guide me, I will really appriciate it.

---------- if it was change of status from F1 to H1 then your approval notice will have I-94 attached with h1 approval notice and you can stay and work till I-94, when you go out you need H1 Visa stamp to renter US. you did not post if it is Change of status or Fresh NEW H1 .
did you start working on H1? if yes then : Take the H1 approval notice, employer letter, attorney certified copy of LCA and I-129 petition, recent pay stubs. also check the US consulate site where you will go for Visa stamp and note the requirements
