H1b Travel and Extension

Hi

I have to travel to India in July 2009. I have a valid H1 stamp till July 31 2009 and have got 3 year extension approved as well.

Can I travel on the current stamp and come back before July 31 and show the extension at POE?

or Will I have to apply for a new stamp as I have an extension?

You can use your existing visa before it expires. You have to provide latest petition approval notice.

------------------ you should be back before July 31,2009 if want to use same Visa stamp.At POE show the valid Visa stamp in passport AND H1 3 Year H1 extension approval notice so that Officer can give you I-94 valid till your 3 year H1 extension approval notice. At POE check the Expiry date of I-94 and if mistake point it to Officer.

Your Visa stamp expires on 31,July and you want to enter US on 30th of july?. what if any flight delay? I prefer to enter 3-4 days advance of Visa stamp expiry date.
