H1B transfer...Exempt to Non-Exempt
Hi, I currently have an exempt H1B visa from a university. I'm looking to switch
to a commercial (for-profit) company and apply for a H1B transfer that falls under the annual cap.
Here's my question:
If the transfer is approved to begin working for the company from October 1st,
can I continue working on the cap-exempt H1B visa at the university, until the transferred H-1 kicks in on 1st October??
Or, should I ask the company to apply for a FRESH H1B, so that I can continue working on my exempt visa (at the university) until October 1st?
