H1B-Transfer

Hi folks,
Right now I'm on H1B status with an Indian company and its valid uptill 2006. Now I'm planning to switch to some other company. for H1B transfers do I need to go for VISA stamping with new company H1B or my previous VISA is valid? If so, then as per the new rules do i need to go to India for Visa stamping?

---previous VISA Stamp is valid, when you go out take your new H1 transfer approval and at POE show your passport Visa stamp AND new H1 Tranfer you will get new I-94 valid till your H1 transfer
If so, then as per the new rules do i need to go to India for Visa stamping?
--No, you can work if your H1 transfer has I-94 attached
