H1B transfer through my own company?

I'm in the process of getting my green card and have I140 approved and I485 submitted/pending. I go my EAD (after 6 months pending I485) and decided to start my own company after the one that sponsored me went bankrupt. However since it might still be several years before my GC is processed, I will need something else in the meantime.
Can I sponsor myself and transfer the old H1B to my own company (0 employees)? How would I go about that? Any ideas of what I should do?

No you cannot sponsor yourself for H1. That will amke you the employer and the employee at the same time.
Some people have successfully ported to self-emplyment on EAD. You may want to look into that possibility.

I am currently self employed on my EAD. But that is going to run out some time and I also can't re-enter the country on an EAD... or am I missing something? What should I do?

who told you that you reenter with EAD? EAD is for work. for entry to US you must file AP and AP must be approved before you go out of US. AP takes 2-3 months for approval. Get a job with company and then file AC21 if you have I-140 approved and I-485 pending more than 180 days and new employer is ready to give you job offer letter to invoke AC21.
