Few months back, I changed my status from L1 to H1B and got the new I-94 with 797 form. I didn't go out of the country after that and hence didn't get a H1B visa stamped. Now, if I want my H1B transfered to another company, do they ask for a H1B stamp in passport? My passport has L1 visa stamp but later I changed my status to H1B. Is it mandatory to have to H1B visa stamp in passport for transfer? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
