H1B Transfer -- Please help

I am currently with company A and receiving pay stubs (last received on 1/20/06 and next one due on 2/3/06). I have accepted an offer from company B and company B has already transferred my H1B thru premium processing with a I797 starting date of March 1 (joining date at B is march 6 -- so they went with a I797 start date of March 1).

If I leave company A in early Feb (Feb 3) will I be out of status for the few weeks in Feb till I join in March as my I797 starts from March 1? I would like to take a few weeks off before starting at B and have already given my 2 weeks notice to leave on Feb 3. Please note that my H1 is already approved for B.

Thats great.

But I still wanted to make sure whether I am being out of status for those few weeks? It seems to me it will most likely be never noticed as next time I go for visa stamping I will have company B's I797 and pay stubs and letter from them. Also I 797 from A is valid till 2007 --- so the I797 dates from A & B overlap.

But still the question is will I be out of status for those weeks in Feb where I am not working for A and my I797 with B starts from March. Guys --- please let me know your thoughts ----- I just want to make sure.
