H1B transfer issue

Hello;
I'm in my 6th year of H1B (expiration 10/2012). I recently applied for transfer from company A to company B. I haven't received an approval (I797A) from USCIS yet. Now, I have a better offer from company C and intend to accept that offer.
The question is:
1. Is it possible to apply for transfer to company C even though transfer petition is pending for B.?
2. What possible issues should i expect even though my I94 is still valid?

any advise/help regarding this is appreciated.

Its possible, but you might expect an RFE about the pending petition. If you want to give up on the offer from company B - let them know so that they withdraw their offer.
Also, since you're in your sixth year, you might get the new H1B valid for only several months (until the full 6th year limit is exhausted).

As you got your H1B visa transfer in Dec 2011, I want to know the results if there was an issue to get the visa transferred to company C. I am also in the same situation today.
Please could you give some advice on this.
