I would really appreciate if someone could please answer this question:
1. I am working for employer A on H1B visa (quota exempt). My visa and I-94 are both valid until July 2009.
2. If I apply for a H1B transfer to employer B (quota exempt) with a start Date of Aug 15th. Do it by premium processing and get the H1B approval by July 1st.
3. Can I resign from Employer A on July 1st and stay in US until Aug 15th without working and then join employer B from Aug 15th ? I just want to take a break between the two jobs.
Will my stay from July 1st - Aug 15th be considered legal?
I would appreciate if you could give me a confirmed answer to this
