Hello Svetlana,
My first 3 years of H1B expire on 1 Aug 2008 and I have the Visa stamped till that period.
Currently I am in the US and am planning to visit my country in Nov 2007.I will be joining my new job with a different employer 'B' in June 2008 on H1B.
In the meantime I will inform my current employer'A' in November 2007 that I am going for a family leave which will be unpaid since I am not going to return in the US till June 2007.
Is it possible that I can be in my home country on a H1B visa for this long ( 6 months ) as a family leave and directly file for my H1B transfer from outside USA ( from my home country ) in order to join the employer'B' in June 2008 when I return ?
In this case do I need to get my VISA stamped when I return in June 2008 as I would already have the previous VISA stamped till Aug 2008?
Thank you for your help
Nick
