H1B Transfer complications

Hi Folks/Gurus
I got H1B approved and my visa expires in Sep 2007. I am currently working outside India for the past 5 years. My employer is not calling me so far and I decide to switch to a new employer. My new employer says that he can immediately transfer my H1, if I come to the US.

I would like to clear the below doubts

1. Is it legal to enter the US and immediately transfer my H1 without getting any paystubs from my current employer?

2. My family won't be travelling with me right now. If my H1b transfer is approved, can they travel to the US with their existing H4 with my old employer without restamping?

3. My exisiting employer is in the east coast and my new employer is in the west coast. If I travel to the US, I need to travel with my exisiting visa with my current employer. But if I travel to the west coast rather than east coast, will there be any problems during immigration?

4. I got stamping one and half year ago but will be travelling only now. Will this create any problems during immigration?

I appreciate any feedback from folks/gurus

Regards

if you enter 18 months after visa stamping officer at POE may verify with your employer (name on the visa), if employer say there is no work for you, you will be deported.

Hi great guru
Thanks for your prompt response. I got my stamping around March 2005 and I hope I still have that time.

Can you please answer the rest of my questions so that I can have a clear idea of how to proceed?
